Education: A 1999 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Bennington earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2002 where she served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board.

Professional/Community Activities: Admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2002; member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the New Hanover County Bar Association.
